Nad birthday is on last sunday. Until now i still don't know the idea what to give her. I want something that is special and nice but yet.. Yesterday mama baked banana cake. Suddenly that comes an idea. Why don't i bake something for her? so i flip over the book ‘手制饼干洪焙点心’, find the easiest ones to bake. Aha! Pomponnette au chocolat look so yummy and cute so i decide to bake that. It doesn't taste like biscuit or cake, just a 点心. =D The book say it need about 40 minutes to prepare. 20 for mixing the ingredients, the other 20 for baking. But the clumsy me, i start doing from 6.30 pm but i finish at around 9. yea.. many problems. That is the second time i bake. The first time was like many many years ago. Can't remember but i knw the cake i baked last time was eww~. My mama was so surprised that i will ever try to bake something again and she is so jealous that i didn't bake for her. aw.. i will bake it soon.

One of the ingredient is 'almond powder' but i don't have it so i just use 'almond drinking powder'. That is totally two different thing although both made from almond. When everything is mixed well, very carefully i pour the mixture spoon by spoon into the mold. It takes me ages to do that. Mama is beside me at the time, seeing me dirty her kitchen. haha~ i almost used all the spoon and bowl we had. She really cannot tahan me anymore so she helped. Woossh.. very quickly the mixture was placed in the oven. 20 minutes later, i was like so eager to try it. It's not okay as expected. -.- The smell of almond is so strong and the 点心 are so hard. Maybe the temperature is too high or something. So sad i am. I was thinking of buying something for her this coming friday but my mama ask me to do it again. okay.. i do. repeat everything but now using 'almond powder'. Using the right powder, temperature and time, and guess what, YUMMY la.. HAHAHA! I'm so satisfied and incredibly happy with my outcome. =P so everything is packed nicely and ready to give. Eseh~ but sadly i forgot my dinner. Nothing left for me. sniff sniff
